POLOKWANE – UPON the Rock Kingdom Church in partnership with Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Checkers and Ackermans held a four-day conference at the Jack Botes hall last week in commemoration of Mandela Day.

With the theme: we serve God by serving people, the church donated clothes, stationery, food parcels and toys to needy people.

The senior pastor and church founder, Mightyman Manganyi, said the church played a huge role in assisting the needy throughout Mandela Month.

“As a church, we impact ordinary people and extend hands of compassion to those who are needy.

“This was done during our conferences and annually during Mandela Month,” said Manganyi.

He said the church needed government departments, business people and individuals to contribute and partner with them to transform people’s lives.

According to Jennifer Manyelo, the church conference organiser, the congregation expressed its sincere thanks and blessings to Manganyi and the church council for the great work they do for the less fortunate.

The church will also host an official launch of Upon the Rock Kingdom Church TV at the Ngoako Ramatlhodi Indoor Sports Complex in Seshego on August 24.
