POLOKWANE – KFC Polokwane together with NTY Steelworks got their hands dirty on Saturday to install a sustainable playground and start a vegetable garden at Letlhanthene Drop-In Centre in Bloodriver.

The drop-in centre is a KFC Add Hope beneficiary and the construction of the playground and vegetable garden formed part of Mandela Day commemorations.

Cheray van Blerk, KFC Polokwane marketing manager, said the Add Hope team not only commemorated Mandela Day, but made a difference in the community.

“This is a project that will be implemented over time to fulfill our greater vision and plans to have a fully functional playground,” said Van Blerk.

Tiger Wheel and Tyres donated tyres which were also used to construct the playground, while NTY Steelworks sponsored the steel.

Van Blerk added that they had a lot of fun and thanked everyone who made the campaign a success.
