Seven people were killed and nine injured after a collision between a minibus taxi and a truck on the N1 near Musina early yesterday (Wednesday). Ronel Otto, Provincial Police Spokesperson reported that all the deceased were occupants of the taxi that was travelling south from the Zimbabwean border. The taxi driver was among the injured. The truck was travelling towards the border and the two vehicles crashed at a traffic intersection near the weigh bridge.
According to Otto, the cause of the collision has not been determined yet and it was still being investigated at the time of going to press.
