MOKOPANE – IN an endeavour to expedite service delivery and development during a special council meeting recently, the Mogalakwena Municipality appointed Peter Makondo as its new acting municipal manager.

Makondo’s secondment was approved during the Waterberg district municipal council meeting on June 19, and he will be with the municipality for a period not exceeding three months.

Makondo’s secondment was welcomed by council including the opposition parties and he will be succeeding Puledi Selepe who was seconded by the department of cooperative governance, human settlements and traditional affairs in December 2014.
