Licence centre re-open after robbery

The Mogwadi Driving License Testing Centre (DLTC) has since 7 July (Tuesday) resumed full services.

LIMPOPO – The Mogwadi Driving License Testing Centre (DLTC) has since 7 July (Tuesday) resumed full services.

This was after after operations were suspended for a period of six weeks due to a robbery.

Spokesperson for the Molemole Municipality, Morongwa Pholoba said the center has been renovated and the Regulation and Compliance Directorate at the Department of Transport did an inspection on Friday last week and a go ahead was given to resume with operations.

She said community members can visit the station for their licensing and registration services, and testing for learners and drivers licenses.

“The impact of the bombing damaged the walls and ceilings of the office and the walls of other offices were affected. Two interior burglar doors were broken and batches of face value forms have been tampered with. The bombing incident had resulted in an overall interruption of licensing services for 25 May at the center.  Management tried its utmost best to ensure that licensing services resume at their earliest convenience,” said Pholoba.
