ESKOM POWER ALERT: Stage 2 load shedding

POLOKWANE – According to Eskom, load shedding stage 2 will be implemented today (Sunday) from 08:00-22:00.

Areas to be load shed

08:00-10:00

Block 14 Area Seshego Zone 8, Zone 5, Zone 4, Zone 2, Madibapark, Hospital View, Ext 73 and Zone 1 Ext.

10:00-12:00

Block 15 Area Seshego Zone 6, Bikopark, Zone 3, Zone 4, College and Lethulipark.

12:00-14:00

Block 1 Area Thornhill, Thornhill Centre, Northview, Maroela Hights and Savannah Centre.

14:00-16:00

Block 2 Area Florapark East of McDonald Street and Serelala View.

16:00-18:00

Block 3 Area Polokwane Ext. 44, Ext. 65 (African Jewel), Place of Safety, Sterkloop Agriculture on the Percy Fyfe Road, Ext. 40, Ext. 71, Ext. 75 and Ext. 76.

18:00-20:00

Block 4 Area Le Rouxville, Eduanpark, Polokwane Ext. 16, Ext.17, Futura, Laboria, Polkwane Ext. 29, Emdo, Lesedipark, Mahlasedipark and Mahlako A Phahla.

20:00-22:00

Block 5 Area Industria, Correctional Services, Hospitalpark, Blood Bank, HTS Tom Naude, Polokwane College, Cancer Hospital, Provincial Hospital, Noorderland High School, Woltemade & Dr Annecke Streets, BB Auto, SABC, Game Centre and Annadale.

Eskom assures all customers that load shedding is done as a last resort, when absolutely necessary to protect the power system. Any unexpected change on the constrained and vulnerable power system will lead to a change in the stage of load shedding.
