Delo® a first for South Africa

Chevron Lubricants South Africa opened its first Delo® Xpress Lube facility in Limpopo last Thursday at the Franco Bulk Transport.

POLOKWANE – Chevron Lubricants South Africa opened its first Delo® Xpress Lube facility in Limpopo last Thursday at the Franco Bulk Transport.

Chevron Lubricants is a division of Chevron South Africa and operates in the country under the Caltex brand.

With Delo® being a renowned and trusted brand name not only in South Africa but globally, this new facility aims to offer the full spectrum of lubricants services for owner operators and fleets.

“The opening of the first Delo® Xpress Lube facility in South Africa is in line with Chevron’s growth strategy of expanding their business line, building partnerships and offering high quality products and services to customers,” said Paulo Da Silva, distribution manager for South Africa during his speech at the launch of the facility.

“The outlet will further strengthen our lubricants business in the transport sector, especially with the introduction of our Bumper to Bumper product offering. This facility is the first of several such outlets we have planned in the region.”

The opening of the new facility was overseen by the site owners, Chevron South Africa’s senior management as well as Franco Bulk and Delo® Xpress Lube staff.

“Our customers can now obtain all their truck related services conveniently and efficiently at a single place,” said an excited Jaco Pieterse, co-owner of Franco Bulk.

The workshop includes a wash bay, spray booth, lube bay and full workshop. While the truck is being serviced, the driver can enjoy a shower or rest in an air-conditioned customer lounge. The site is conveniently situated on the N1 to Zimbabwe and will create an additional 10 permanent new jobs.
