A shimmy and a shake win Mokopane drum majorettes title of champions

DRESSED in red and black uniforms, the drum majorettes of Mokopane Primary School waved their flags, threw their sticks and shaked their pom poms to the beat of the music during the Limca provincial drum majorette competition at Laerskool Krugerpark last Saturday.

MOKOPANE – DRESSED in red and black uniforms, the drum majorettes of Mokopane Primary School waved their flags, threw their sticks and shaked their pom poms to the beat of the music during the Limca provincial drum majorette competition at Laerskool Krugerpark last Saturday.

The Mokopane drum majorettes were crowned the champions of champions for 2015.

They received the following prestigious results:

The large drill achieved first place.

The throwing prop group was awarded with first place.

The sub-leaders large drill grabbed themselves first place.

They achieved number one position in the leader performance.

The flag group single and double waved their flags into first place.

The squad large drill was awarded with a second place.

“We are very proud of this team for their hard work and dedication,” said the coaches, Violet Mahlanya, Helen Mashishi and Johanna Mashishi.
