POLOKWANE – According to Eskom, load shedding stage 1 will be implemented today (Sunday) from 17:00-22:00.
Areas to be load shed are:
17:00-18:00
Block 6 Area CBD, between Thabo Mbeki & Excelsior Streets, between Dahl & Biccard Streets and Southern Gateway.
18:00-20:00
Block 7 Area Superbia, Westenburg, Nirvana, Between Market & Onder Streets, between Grobler & Excelsior Streets, Indian Centre and Pick a Pay Centre.
20:00-22:00
Block 8 Area Sterpark, Silverkruin, Bendor Village, McDonald Centre, between Thabo Mbeki & Grobler Streets, between Gemini & Gazelle Streets, SA Breweries, Magnavia and Koppiesfontein.
22:00-24:00
Block 9 Area Cycad Centre, Cycad, Welgelegen, Woodhill, Celtic Lodge, Celtic Medows and Coke.
Eskom assures all customers that load shedding is done as a last resort, when absolutely necessary to protect the power system. Any unexpected change on the constrained and vulnerable power system will lead to a change in the stage of load shedding.
