Fun is in the Tekkies at Free2Bme Centre

POLOKWANE – Tekkie Tax was celebrated on Friday and learners attending the Free2Bme Academic Centre had a ball celebrating the day.

The 60 learners had a fun-filled day with a traditional Boeresport day: racing each other while pushing wheelbarrows, seeing who can fit the most marshmallows into their mouths, rolling mealies, spitting cuttles (bokdrolspoeg) and many more games had them giggling and running around.

The children and teachers all wore tekkies, of course, and some took the fun further by wearing coloured wigs and painting their faces.

Every group decided upon a charity organisation which is going to benefit from the money they made on the day.

The day was ended with a traditional braai.

All agreed that the day was one worth remembering
