LIMPOPO – Phillip Kgoantha (22) was sentenced to 25 years’ imprisonment at the Modimolle Regional court this morning.
Kgoantha pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 15 years for murder and 15 years for armed robbery. The sentences will run concurrently effectively 25 years’ imprisonment.
Kgoantha was charged for the murder of Susan Kotze on a farm in the Lephalale area.
According to Col. Ronel Otto, earlier this year Kgoantha overpowered and strangled Kotze with a coat hanger. He fled the scene with two cellphones, cash and Kotze’s bakkie.
