The Living Gospel World Mission Church turns 10

"THROUGH the highest mountains I've had to climb, through all my lowest moments I have seen the grace of God. I have seen his hand" pastor Mosibudi Chauke

POLOKWANE – “THROUGH the highest mountains I’ve had to climb, through all my lowest moments I have seen the grace of God. I have seen his hand.”

These were the words of pastor Mosibudi Chauke of The Living Gospel World Mission Church, Polokwane branch. She spoke during the church’s 10th year anniversary celebration held at Jack Botes Hall on Saturday.

“Our branch is one of 65 nationwide branches of a church originally founded in Tshililo in Venda. This branch was founded by the late pastor Salani Paul Chauke and his wife, pastor Mosibudi Mirriam Chauke in April 2005,” explained one of the church elders, Adam Chauke.

The anniversary celebration saw members from all 65 branches in attendance.

“We’re growing in leaps and bounds; we now rent two halls at Tshwane University of Technology every Sunday. Many people expected us to fail after my husband passed away. As a woman, I also had to overcome many skeptical people that a woman could lead the congregation. I even had to get over my personal doubts as a woman that it was possible, after the church leadership asked me to lead.

“After praying about it and receiving confirmation that indeed I was called, I then realised that this was not about me- this was God’s work and I was merely a vessel,” Mosibudi concluded.
