Better life with washing cars

CEDRICK Mothapo (37) from Ga-Mothapo says being unemployed does not mean it's the end of the world.

LIMPOPO – CEDRICK Mothapo (37) from Ga-Mothapo says being unemployed does not mean it’s the end of the world.

The father of one, who has been looking for a job with no luck, now washes cars in town.

Mothapo says he always works hard to ensure customer satisfaction.

“My customers always praise my work and they know they can always depend on me for the quality service I offer,” he says.

He says his journey as a car washer started in 2010 after he used to sell sweets and snacks in the city.

“After I realised that selling sweets and snacks did not make enough profit, I then decided to wash cars, which was better.

“With the money I make, I am able to support my family, we don’t go to bed hungry.

“On a good day, I can make between R150 to R200, which means a lot to me,” he says.

He dreams of opening a car wash in the city, where he can employ young people.
