Schools wins big with good hygiene

MAMALI Sikhwivhilu Primary School in Ngovhela village outside Thohoyandou have been crowned winners of the Lifebuoy Shoprite Sibasa competition, which aimed to improve learners' hygiene.

LIMPOPO – MAMALI Sikhwivhilu Primary School in Ngovhela village outside Thohoyandou have been crowned winners of the Lifebuoy Shoprite Sibasa competition, which aimed to improve learners’ hygiene.

The acting principal, Ndivhuheni Siaga said they entered the competition in October last year, where communities, learners and teachers were urged to buy the soap and enter the competition with their till slips.

“We thank communities in Ngovhela and surrounding villages for their support,” said Siaga.

Siaga said the school won a computer and printer.

During the hand-over of the prize on Wednesday, the Lifebuoy ambassador, Mphuthi Mailula, said the company aimed to encourage young children to improve their hygiene.
