POLOKWANE – The bail hearing of Rameez Patel has been interrupted once more.
The water from the air conditioner which had been switched off, caused a leak in the ceiling, which stopped the proceedings.
This is after the court was interrupted earlier when the investigating officer, Const David Nkuna collapsed and was escourted out by the emergency medical personnel.
The state wanted to postpone the bail application but Adv. Stefanie Fourie objected, and said that the continuous postponement of the bail application was a violation of Patel’s human rights and the bail application must be finalised today.
Court should proceed soon
