LOCAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:The Fizzy Soapsuds soothes souls

Lee-Anne Vonderstein and Tammey Erasmus, owners of The Fizzy Soap-suds, have just the right bath products for every need.

POLOKWANE – Taking a bath in the evening to help you relax is something many people do, especially after a difficult day at work.

Using the right soaps and bath oils is crucial to ensure a relaxing spa-feeling in your own home.

Lee-Anne Vonderstein and Tammey Erasmus, owners of The Fizzy Soap-suds, have just the right bath products for every need.

“I love going to Cape Town and there is a store with fantastic smelling soaps that I always have to visit. I came back last year and decided to make my own soaps with the help of my good friend, Lee-Anne,” Tammey explains.

Both women are single mothers and said they had time to invest in their project.

The children were very willing to help out, as it meant more pocket money.

“Our soaps are custom made. We use only organic ingredients, pure essential oils and Himalayan salts. People that suffer from infections can use our products without any danger,” Lee-Anne says.

Currently they manufacture their products at Lee-Anne’s home as her house offers enough space work in.

Lee-Anne produces the products and Tammey tests them, having studied aromatherapy.

Besides soap, they also make mousses, fizzy bath bombs, shower jellies and crumble bars.

Although they have set recipes, they are willing to adjust their recipes to make anything their clients need. They also make hampers and gift packs on request.

“Everything is hand-made, even the paper that we wrap the soap in. We also believe n supporting the local community. Therefore we print our labels locally and we also buy our ingredients locally,” Lee-Anne says.

The Fizzy Soapsuds products are safe to use on babies and children, and Lee-Anne says the soap can also be used to wash hair.

“Some of our soaps also have beeswax in, which has healing qualities.

“Our lemon poppy seed soap can be used to exfoliate the skin.

“All our products are made with love and passion,” Tammey says.
