Limpopo MEC urges motorists to be cautious during Easter

Police and traffic officers will be highly visible on the roads in Limpopo during the Easter period - MEC for Transport, Safety, Security and Liaison Mapula Mokaba-Phukwane

LIMPOPO – Police and traffic officers will be highly visible on the roads in Limpopo during the Easter period.

MEC for Transport, Safety, Security and Liaison Mapula Mokaba-Phukwane has given this assurance at the launch of the provincial Easter road safety campaign at Ga-Matlala outside Polokwane on Monday.

“It is Easter time and people will be going to different places using the Musina road. Others will be taking other different roads. We are going to make sure that our police are everywhere and as traffic officers we encourage people to stop using the plastic number plate and start to use the enamel one.”

Commuters and motorists say the presence of police and traffic officers on the road should not only happen during Easter and festive seasons.
