Edu circuit awards best and brightest

THE top learners, teachers and schools of the Mahwelereng circuit were awarded at their formal award ceremony hosted at Oasis Lodge two weeks ago.

MOKOPANE – THE top learners, teachers and schools of the Mahwelereng circuit were awarded at their formal award ceremony hosted at Oasis Lodge two weeks ago.

About 250 people attended this prestigious ceremony at which Johanna Mabusela, Mahwelereng circuit manager, was a guest of honour.

 

The following schools were awarded for these achievements:

ā€¢ Mosesane Baloyi Primary School won the 2014 Ecco school national award.

ā€¢ Chumana Primary School won the 2014 Morabaraba national award.

ā€¢ Ebenezer Secondary School won the national athletics award.

ā€¢ DG Tsebe High School took the prize for the most improved school in the 2014 gr. 12 results.

ā€¢ Gobela High School was awarded as the most consistent school in the gr. 12 results.

ā€¢ Ebenzer Secondary School won the award for the best performing school regarding the gr. 12 results.

The top three schools in the circuit for 2014 are Gobela High School in first place, Somarugha High School second and DG Tsebe High School third.

Lorraine Mukhari from Gobela High School, also awarded the number one school in 2014, took the prestigious title for the best learner in gr. 12 in the circuit.

She is currently studying to become a doctor at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg.

“We look forward to an even greater 2015 and to celebrate this event with even more students and awards,” said Zacharia Ngoasheng, chairman of the Mahwelereng circuit cultural committee.
