UPDATE: Water shortage

According to municipal spokesperson Matshidiso Mothapo, the municipality is still working on the water shortage problems in high lying areas and Seshego.

Reservoir levels remain critical.

Whilst the problem is being sorted, the municipality will provide temporary supply to affected areas through water tankers.

Tankers will supply water in affected areas from 06:00-21:00

Residents and members of the public in the lower areas who have water are urged to use water sparingly whilst repairs are continuing at the plant.

The community is urged to limit water consumption to immediate household needs and avoid irrigation of gardens, filling swimming pools and washing cars.
