POLOKWANE- Gr. 4 Ivy Park Primary School athlete, Tshepang Dankuru competed in the Limpopo athletics championships at the Peter Mokaba Stadium last Friday, where he won second place in the high jump for boys u/10.
“I am very proud that I made it this far, it wasn’t that difficult though,” he said.
He is one of three learners from Ivy Park Primary School who qualified to take part in the Limpopo championships.
“He jumped 1,2 m, which is quite impressive for his young age,” said Ivy Park principal, Jaap van der Westhuizen.
“We are still waiting to see whether Tshepang qualified for the nationals, but we are extremely proud of him and we think that he has a bright future ahead of him,” he said.
