POLOKWANE – A Toyota Corolla was found abandoned in Ridge Street Ivy Park following an armed robbery on the N1 South, 3km from Polokwane on Thursday.
A silver BMW was involved in the armed robbery where an undisclosed amount of money was taken from the driver.
According to Capt Mohlaka Mashiane spokesperson at the Westenburg Police station, the driver of the Toyota was forced from the road by the BMW. Two suspects jumped out of the BMW and forced the driver of the Toyota to go with them when driving away from the scene. They robbed him of the money and left the car in Ridge Street on the Ivydale small holdings. The victim was unharmed.
Mashiane said an investigation was underway and no further details was available currently.
