APD honours Valentine’s Day on the dance floor

The Association for People with Disabilities (ADP) and Centenary House hosted a Valentine's dance on Friday for the residents of Centenary House and Trix Nortman sheltered employment workshop personnel.

POLOKWANE – The Association for People with Disabilities (ADP) and Centenary House hosted a Valentine’s dance on Friday for the residents of Centenary House and Trix Nortman sheltered employment workshop personnel.

Everyone at the dance was treated to cool drink and heart-shaped cupcakes.

Johnny Graham, the APD public education and awareness fundraising manager was the master of ceremonies and he kept the party going with dance music and games such as musical chairs. The winners of musical chairs, Thembi Khosa and Charl Bredenkamp won prizes sponsored by Coca-Cola Fortune.

Marina van Eeden, who has volunteered at ADP for the past 55 years, thanked Graham, the personnel at Centenary House and all the sponsors for their effort.

Jaco Kritzinger and Estelle Pretorius were crowned Mr and Miss Valentine respectively, while Wilhelminah Lelehane and Themba Makono were awarded as the best dressed and they too won prizes sponsored by Coca-Cola Fortune. The dance ended with a special treat of sausage rolls and cool drinks.

“Many thanks to ADP hall and catering for the cupcakes and the sausage rolls,” said Graham.
