Mitchell gr. 8’s put on a show

Being in a new school is not always easy and sometimes a little concert helps to ease gr. 8 learners into their new environment.

POLOKWANE – Being in a new school is not always easy and sometimes a little concert helps to ease gr. 8 learners into their new environment.

Mitchell House College’s gr. 8 learners put on a concert last Thursday. This year’s concert saw Kagiso Maleka, Rameez Omar, Tshegofatso Phasha, Mishka Shaikh and Karabo Whitehead take a tour through the jungle of Mitchell House College. Here they met the teachers and learned more about them. After their tour, the principal and deputy head and phase head welcomed them to the school. During their tour of the school, other learners showed off their dance skills.

After the concert, the gr. 8 learners signed a pledge, lit a candle and read a pledge promising to be the best they can be.

“For these new learners, working for only a month, it was a well written concert. Thank you. Thank you also to the prefects, gr. 12 learners and teachers for advising these learners,” Andrew Cook, headmaster of Mitchell House said.
