POLOKWANE – No one was injured during an armed robbery that took place at Garden Pavilion Sterkloop in the early hours of Monday.
Westenburg police spokesperson, Capt Mohlaka Mashiane confirmed this and said two armed men entered the restaurant and demanded money, jewellery and cellphones before they left the premises.
Garden Pavilion Sterkloop’s management wished to not comment on the matter.
“No arrests have been made and we request anyone with information to come forward. The Westenburg police can be contacted at (015) 292 9401,” Mashiane said.
He further said anybody who found themselves in an armed robbery situation should comply with the robbers’ instructions as far as possible.
“Paying attention to what the robber looked like and was wearing would also go a long way in assisting the police later,” Mashiane said.
