Malamulele: Total shutdown enters 3rd week

A protest action by disgruntled residents, who are demanding a separate municipality from the Thulamela local municipality, is now entering its third week.

Speaking to The Citizen on Monday, community spokesman, Steve Mahlale said a stakeholders’ meeting which was attended by Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (Cogta) Minister, Pravin Gordhan on Sunday, resolved that the total shutdown of services will continue.
