Kgothatso finally wears the crown

POLOKWANE – Kgothatso Modiba’s bad luck of never winning pageants changed on Saturday when she was crowned Miss Bub-Fab at the Moletjie community hall.

The 18-year-old started modelling in 2013 and she was excited to win her first pageant. She said winning made her realise that perseverance was important.

“I have entered many beauty pageants with no luck. I just told myself that I would not give up until I won and here I am today wearing my first crown. You should never give up on your dreams until you achieve them,” said Modiba.

She said she wished to enter the Miss South Africa pageant in the near future.

“My family believes in me and I would like to take my modelling career to the next level and make them proud,” she said.

Modiba advised young people to surround themselves with those who love, care and support them than with people with bad attitudes and a negative influence.

She is a member of the Sweetbeats Modelling Agency and said the agency helped her a lot by helping her to realise her strength.

“Self-confidence, hard work, passion and determination are important in order to succeed in life. South Africa needs young people to improve things in the country.”
