THE year 2014 has been very eventful and we bid it farewell with a sense of pride and fulfillment for the milestones we achieved during the year. Such milestones could not be achieved without the support from communities and all our stakeholders. Let us continue to work together, guide each other and make 2015 better than 2014.
As the festive season is a period of celebration, let us remember that it is also a time of the year when the less fortunate feel the weight of poverty. As citizens who care, let us extend a helping hand of generosity and share with poor families.
As we celebrate, let us please resist the abuse of alcohol and reduce incidents of crime, violence and any act of inhumanity in our communities, especially against women, children and the elderly.
Kindly use water and electricity wisely and keep disasters, in particular those related to water and fires, out of your holiday celebrations. And also save our good health by abstaining, being faithful and using condoms.
