POLOKWANE – Residents in the Welgelegen area are very annoyed and frustrated with the municipality as they are without water this morning.
Tidimalo Chuene, a municipal spokesperson said, there is not a water shortage crisis in the city.
“The reason for the water shortage experienced in Welgelegen is due to a water pipe bust. We are fixing the damaged water pipe and water will be back on by this afternoon. Residents in Luthuli Park phase 9A, 9F, 9H and 9L are also without water from 07:00 until 16:30 today,” Chuene said.
The municipality confirmed that all other areas in the city do have water.
Reservoir levels this morning were as follows: Krugersburg 50ml reservoir 44%, 30ml reservoir 30%, Potgieter 95%, Extension 95% and Seshego 64%.
