In September 3 learners died after eating food provided by a feeding scheme at a primary school in Limpopo.

A 5th learner died on Wednesday after eating food from a feeding scheme in Sekhukhune district. More than 150 learners were rushed to hospital after crushed glass had apparently been found in their food.

DA provincial leader Jacques Smalle alleged even after a four children had died, feeding-scheme service providers remained in operation.

We will update our readers on the outcome of the meeting between the DA and the MEC for education on Thursday morning.

Four muder charges have been opened and another to be opened today against Dept of Education
