A lick of varnish for Noddy’s crèche

POLOKWANE – Members of Maheroes, a men’s social club in Westenburg, showed they cared for their community by doing some maintenance work at Noddy’s Playground Crèche and Pre-school on Friday.

The men dedicated their afternoon to applying varnish to one of the classrooms.

Maheroes member, Son Jacobs, said the club was there to make a difference in the community and to help the needy where possible.

“We might not be able to help financially, but we can offer our services. Like today, we identified that the classroom needed some varnish and we came to help,” Jacobs said.

Leonne van Wyk, principal and owner of Noddy’s, thanked the men for their hard work and dedication in making a difference in Westenburg.

“It is good to know that there are still people, like Maheroes, who still care about their community. We really appreciate the good work that you are doing. Keep it up,” Van Wyk said.
