Residents in the city are warned to use water sparingly and to stop watering their gardens to avoid a water shortage situation. Currently the city is experience high water wastage.
Yesterday the reservoirs at Krugersburg went down from 30% to 10% from 14h00 until 18h00 and this is clearly an indication of water wastage. Already the municipality is receiving complaints from certain high lying areas about water shortage.
The areas affected for now are Bendor and all the extensions, Sterpark, Fauna Park, Flora Park and Serala View. The reservoir levels this morning were as follows; Krugersburg 50ml reservoir 20%, 30Ml reservoir 14%, Potgieter 75% and Seshego 24%.
