Sue has a head for marketing, health

Sue Bohlmann used be unhappy with her body, and her stress levels had reached a peak.

“I used to be unhappy with my extra body fat – I was 16kg overweight – and had no idea how to eat to manage my weight. I ate sweets to boost my energy levels and, while never making time for purposeful exercise, I also never drank any water,” Sue explains during an interview with Review.

She says this was in 2010, and when she was introduced to Herbalife around this time, she became determined to reach her goal weight. She lost 8% body fat which was 15kg, while still maintaining her muscle mass and improving her hydration levels.

“My energy levels increased and emotionally I had a way better outlook on life. I plan my nutrition according to my body’s needs, eat healthy snacks to control my sugar levels and exercise daily to improve my health and fitness. I also drink plenty of water and other healthy beverages.”

These days she is a successful independent Herbalife member and resident of Polokwane.

Sue was born in Great Britain and moved to South Africa when she was seven years old. She lived in Phalaborwa with her family for 25 years.

After finishing school Sue started a draughting apprenticeship and was a draughtsman for 12 or 13 years.

“I then moved on to pro-perty and owned a cellular dealership and DSTV installation company,” she says.

By 2010 she had moved into the marketing sphere, and marketing Herbalife came naturally to her once she had seen the results.

“I’d neglected myself, something which I’d never done before,” Sue says.

Besides marketing Herbalife, she also does wellness coaching. “I give the customer a body analysis consultation and recommendations on how they can improve. I coach people on how to manage weight.”

Sue promotes a healthy lifestyle and says her business is a community-orientated business.

“We motivate, inspire and encourage our customers to get active.”

Sue now lives the “Herbalife life” by eating correctly and drinking enough water.

She exercises Mondays to Fridays with the Herbalife 24Fit programme and also makes time to fit in a brisk half hour walk three times a week.

“I also learned the principles of good nutrition and a healthy active lifestyle by helping to run weight loss challenges.”

Sue says she has had loads of encouragement from her partner and children and, and the compliments for the “new her” just keep coming.

“To me, success is to be able to help people be healthier and happier.”
