67 Minutes for Mandela with some gardening at Ramokgopa campus

Capricorn FET College and the Progressive Professional Forum celebrated Mandela Day on Friday.

POLOKWANE – Capricorn FET College and the Progressive Professional Forum celebrated Mandela Day on Friday.

The main event was held at the college’s Ramokgopa campus near Makhado.

Progressive Professional Forum representative, Abraham Luruli, was the guest speaker at this event. He encouraged personnel and students to continue Madiba’s legacy.

Capricorn FET College SRC president, Thabang Matjie, said they wanted students to be good leaders and lead the country the way Nelson Mandela did.

“You cannot be a leader if you don’t respect your parents or lecturers. You cannot be a good leader if you run from your home at night by escaping through the window, and come back the following day because you were in a tavern or with a lover.

“We are expecting you to be entrepreneurs, managers of big firms or government officials who serves their country with dignity,” he said.
