AN 84-year-old man appeared in the Bolobedu magistrate’s court last Tuesday on a charge of raping a minor.
Nakampe Solomon Mohale from Thibeng village in Bolobedu was arrested last Sunday after he allegedly raped an 11-year-old girl.
It is alleged that the victim was walking home from a spaza shop when the elderly man called her into his house.
Tzaneen cluster police spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, confirmed the alleged raped.
He said the victim was given R2 and warned not to tell anyone what had happened.
Mohale was granted bail of R1 000 and the case was postponed to July 8, pending further investigation.
