Partnering up for a business first

The Princess Tsakani Foundation in partnership with Standard Bank is proud to host the first annual Limpopo Business Symposium.

POLOKWANE – The Princess Tsakani Foundation in partnership with Standard Bank is proud to host the first annual Limpopo Business Symposium.

The sole purpose of the business symposium is to create a community in which leaders are empowered, uplifted and inspired.

Since its inception in 2012, The Princess Tsakani Foundation has raised money that has assisted in supplying 400 N’wamitwa and Ga-Chuene orphans with school uniforms through their annual charity golf day on Nkambule’s birthday.

This year Nkambule, together with various organisations and individuals, will continue to dedicate her birthday celebrations to the orphans of N’wamitwa and Ga-Chuene by hosting the first annual Limpopo Business Symposium.

“We want to thank all our sponsors and participants who contributed to the success of the Princess Tsakani Charity Golf Day in the past.

“This year, the newly developed Limpopo Business Symposium will offer a unique platform for more than 1 000 entrepreneurs and business leaders from all corners of the province to debate issues facing entrepreneurs in our country and discuss how best to harness the potential of aspiring entrepreneurs,” she says.

Alan Dunbar, head of Standard Bank Limpopo, says the future of the country rests in the hands of young people.

“At Standard Bank we believe that investment in community and the development of our economy will contribute to the future of our beautiful country.

“The Princess Tsakani Foundation has done some tremendous work in this regard. We see this as a good opportunity to reach our objectives by encouraging young entrepreneurs.”

Business owners will share their success stories with aspiring entrepreneurs at the symposium.

Some of the speakers include:

• Muditambi Ravele, director of Woman Sports International, acting chairperson of Boxing South Africa and owner of Journey Marketing.

• Hannah Sadiki, head of personal and business banking (PBB) at Standard Bank South Africa.

• Princess Tsakani Nkambule, entrepreneur and author of the upcoming book, From the Bedroom to the Boardroom: How Women can be Powerful and Win Anywhere.

• Ludwick Marishane, internationally renowned young inventor of the Dry Bath who hails from Limpopo and winner of the 2011 Global Student Entrepreneur Award.

• Sbusiso Leope, South African DJ, motivational speaker and successful entrepreneur. • Bokang Montjane, Miss World Africa 2011 and Miss South Africa 2010. Director of Bokang Legacy and SB Powerhouse. Executive producer of Pulse TVF and founder of the Bokang Montjane Foundation.

• Mike Maphoto, creator of the Diary of a Zulu Girl blog with a following of over 500 000 readers.

The business symposium is supported by SEDA, the IDC, MTN, the SABC as well as other organisations who have been supporting the Princess Tsakani Foundation Charity Golf Day since 2012.

The symposium will be held at the Polokwane International Airport on Saturday June 7 and will start at 07:00.

Tickets are available from Computicket and cost R200 for a general ticket and R750 for VIP access.

Students can purchase tickets at their respective campuses for R150.
