POLOKWANE – The family and friends of 28-year-old Bernadine Hugo, who was diagnosed with cervical cancer in December, hosted the Blommiefees fun day at Soetdorings Buiteklub last Saturday to raise money for her treatment.

There were fun activities such as a modelling competition, performances by musicians as well as pool and potjiekos competitions.

Marcia Hugo, Bernadine’s sister, organised the fun day to help raise money for Bernadine whose medical bill amounts to R70 000 from her cancer treatments and two operations.

“We thank everyone who participated in the fun day and helped raise money for my sister. We really appreciate everything and all your efforts. Your love and support is giving us strength to never give up. Anyone who wants to donate anything can still do so,” said Marcia.

“A big thank you to Mia Louw, Skaap and JP Duvenage and crew for their performances and help. Thanks to everyone who took part in the competitions and mostly to the Lord who watches over Bernadine. Thank you for everyone’s prayers.”

To make a donation, contact Marcia at 072 482 3468.
