Pupils give special thanks to caregivers

POLOKWANE – Mitchell House junior phase learners gave a special thank you to their caregivers on Friday, November 8.

Caregivers are family members who ensure the little ones are comfortably taken care of by making sure they are healthy, clean, live in a safe and protected home and educate them in many different ways that make them laugh and sing.

The caregivers can be the learners’ parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, sisters and brothers, nannies and teachers.

Guests enjoyed a special performance by gr. 00 to gr. 3 learners in the multipurpose theatre before going on a tour of the school.

The learners led their caregivers to their classes at the end of the tour, where the caregivers met the learners’ teachers. The learners presented individual portfolios of their 2013 creative work.

“It was a joyful half-day event for the little ones and their caregivers,” said Achsah Phoshoko, the director of marketing at Mitchell House.

“We enjoyed this day very much. The learners made us feel welcome,” said Anna Mohale, Teagan Smit’s nanny.
