Trophies for top Eisteddfod performers

Genl Piet Joubert School learners took part in the Eisteddfod on September 12, competing against nine other schools.

POLOKWANE – Genl Piet Joubert School learners took part in the Eisteddfod on September 12, competing against nine other schools.

Laurica Louw’s contemporary dance group received a trophy, with Fancy Moratola’s junior song-play also receiving one. Gr. 2 learner, Harry Southan and gr. 7 learner, Shamir Holoyake received trophies for Afrikaans dramatised poetry. Gr. 8 learner, Felicia Mametja received a trophy for English prose and Gift Metwane (gr. 9) and Pinkie Mokgathi (gr. 10) received trophies for English dramatised prose. Gr. 7 learner, Lesego Mankoe received trophies for English dramatised prose, English prose and English prescribed poetry.

The school congratulated all the learners who participated.
