Potgietersrus Primary School’s principal, Mr Lahri’s concern for the safety of his learners over weekends and school holidays has resulted in the development and maintenance of the school playgrounds. The latter goal’s purpose is to keep the school’s learners occupied during these periods.
A fundraising by means of a lucky draw was held to raise the neccessary money. Tickets were sold for R20. Javed Asad of Chatz Connect in Mokopane donated a smartphone as prize for the lucky winner.
On Friday 20 September, the lucky winner of the smartphone was drawn. Phonia Sekhaolelo in grade 1 was announced as the new owner of a brand new Blackberry smartphone.
Mr. Lahri thanked all the learners and their parents who supported the fundraising event. He especially thanked Javed Ahad of Chatz Connect for the sponsorship.
