Mokopane community leader will be missed
Lesetja Andries Machochoane (64), passed away on 27 August
MOKOPANE – Machochoane will be missed by his colleagues at Mokopane FM, friends and family.
Machochoane, also known as Konya, worked as a Deputy Secretary at Mokopane FM. Lesiba Ramashala, radio presenter, says the office lost a big part of their ‘family’.
“He was a scientist, mathematician, unionist, politician, analyst, adviser, nation builder, a father, a teacher (principal), a radio board member, Morena, pensioner and a Christian.” He is laid to rest in the Mokopane Cemetery.
Ramashala said Machochoane was someone to lean on and he projected excellent skills on institutional set-up, operation and management.
Before his death it was found that he had already suggested the establishment of a centre that will deal with prostate cancer and related chronic conditions.
