The Absa Limpopo region business and retail office embarked on a campaign, partnered by the education department by collecting school shoes to raise awareness for needy learners.

POLOKWANE – The Absa Limpopo region business and retail office in the city embarked on a campaign, partnered by the education department, that began at the start of July, by collecting school shoes from businesses and individuals to raise awareness for needy learners in the province.

One company that responded to Absa’s campaign was BMW Modern Autohaus. With this team effort there will be quite a few needy children who will be able to go to school wearing a pair of brand new school shoes by the end of July.

The management of BMW Modern Autohaus encouraged employees to get involved in the project and last Friday the company handed 121 pairs of shoes over to Absa Limpopo region. Absa Limpopo region public sector provincial head of corporate coverage, Ashley Rasebotsa, said the target for the whole of July was to collect 2 000 pairs of shoes. At the end of this campaign the Absa Limpopo region personnel will hand the shoes collected over to the education department to be distributed.
