There are a lot of activities happening in the city this weekend for the whole family to enjoy:

• Golfers will be treated to the first ever Polokwane Golf Club pub lunch on Friday. The pub lunch is not only meant for golfers, but for all food lovers. The kiddies are also welcome as there will be jumping castles and an assortment of games for them to enjoy.

• High school golf players will take it to the fairway during the high schools golf challenge that will be held at the Polokwane Golf Club on Friday, while the golf pros compete for a case of Castle Lite during the Castle Lite sundowner golf challenge.

• On Saturday, golfers will battle it out on the greens during the Mike’s Chicken monthly medal golf challenge at the Polokwane Golf Club.

• For those who like to show off their prowess with words, there will be a spelling bee competition at Mitchell House on Saturday, where learners will be required to spell certain words to win.

• Bowlers will compete in the provincial championships at the Pietersburg Bowls Club on Saturday.

• Soccer enthusiasts can drive to Pepps College to watch young people do what they do best on the pitch during the Pepps College winter challenge. Players will showcase their skills on the pitch with the aim to win the challenge.
