The R71 road between Namakgale and Phalaborwa has been blockaded by trees and stones following an illegal march on Tuesday.
LIMPOPO – The R71 road between Namakgale and Phalaborwa has been blockaded by trees and stones following an illegal march on Tuesday.
According to provincial police spokesperson, Col Ronel Otto, the residents of Majeje are marching in protest against the traditional leadership in the area.
Seven suspects were arrested on Monday night after the residents set alight the tribal office said Otto.
“One of the detainees died in the police cell this morning. The cause of death is not yet known.”
Police have been deployed to the area.
