Adopt a spot here

MOKOPANE boasts new gardens as part of the community services department of the Mogalakwena Municipality’s initiative, ‘Love your town, adopt a spot’.

LIMPOPO – MOKOPANE boasts new gardens as part of the community services department of the Mogalakwena Municipality’s initiative, ‘Love your town, adopt a spot’.
Meriam Molala, manager of the community services department, is the person behind this initiative, which is intended to involve the community together with the municipality to look after the environment and improve the face of the town. When driving past the corner of Dudu Madisha and Geyser Street, one can’t help to notice the pretty new garden.

This is only one of many to come,  in cooperation with the community.
Korny Dekker, DA councillor of ward 31, told Bosveld he was very excited as the park in Kerk Street, Chroompark, will soon get a brand-new look.

The municipality will cut the grass and clean the are on Friday.
Dekker is challenging the businesses to adopt this spot. With a little paint this neglected park will be the ideal place for a picnic or a time spent with the children.
Anyone can pick a spot – either a corner of the street, or a park and contact the department at (015) 491 9607/9773.
