POLOKWANE – Come and enjoy a golf day at the University of Limpopo on Saturday, August 8. The golf day was organised as a fundraiser to help three learners from Hoërskool Pietersburg pay for an invitational hockey tour to Ireland in October.
Fourteen players were selected for the Krugersdorp High School (KHS) Invitational rugby and hockey tour 2015 from schools all over South Africa, and three of them hail from Polokwane.
Raen-Leighton Wood, Henjo van Beek and Daniël Osborne were invited to go on the tour where they will visit Dublin, Limerick and Cork.
Here they will get the chance to interact with other hockey teams giving them the chance to learn new techniques and share their own experience to help them grow in the sport.
The golf day was organised by the players and their parents to help cover the costs associated with embracing this golden opportunity.
The challenge will be held in a betterball scramble golf challenge format and will cost R200 to participate. You are also able to sponsor a hole for R1 000.
