PHS pupils make their day

Hoërskool Pietersburg (PHS) in conjunction with Werk en Woeker Pre-school donated instant porridge and fruit juices to an underprivileged learner and people living with disabilities at the Association for Persons with Disabilities (APD) on Monday.

POLOKWANE – Hoërskool Pietersburg (PHS) in conjunction with Werk en Woeker Pre-school donated instant porridge and fruit juices to an underprivileged learner and people living with disabilities at the Association for Persons with Disabilities (APD) on Monday.

PHS learners said the donation formed part of their gr. 10 Ubuntu project, but they wanted to take it to another level.

“We extended the donation to be part of Mandela Day and we managed to get more juices, porridge and clothes. We also wanted to be part of those who touch lives and make a difference this month,” said one of the learners, Elana Jordaan.

She said they would continue to participate in community projects.

“This life would be empty if we had no love to give, no one to care for.

“Love certainly makes this life worth living.

“If you take that simple four letter word out of our lives, it would seem like the sun has stopped shining and the colors of this beautiful world have faded into grey,” Jordaan concluded.
