POLOKWANE – Earlier in the year, mobile police units were removed from various spots in the city to be upgraded.
The mobile units have now been placed around Polokwane to boost crime awareness and help to improve policing in the city.
Each unit is now manned by two police officers, who are well equipped to serve the community in their needs.
The units are equipped to make arrests, take statements and act as information centres.
Polokwane police spokesperson, Capt Nthobeng Phala urged residents to make use of the mobile stations to report crimes. Complainants will be treated confidentially.
