Some MTB fun coming here way

POLOKWANE – Precious Chativhinga of Lethuli Park School was among several pupils countywide who won a bicycle from the Blue Ribbon collect a bag competition. The competition was held from April 13 to June 26. Learners had to collect Blue Ribbon bread bags and fill in an entry form.

Chativhinga collected 180 Blue Ribbon bread bags and that made her the lucky winner of the mountain bicycle. Other learners received backpacks and various hampers during the fun day. Blue Ribbon handed over a desktop computer to the school as part of their giving back to the community project.

“As Blue Ribbon Polokwane, we saw the need to give back to the community for the support they are giving us by buying our bread, we gave the school a desktop computer to help them with some of the things that the school needs in terms of technology. It will help the school to do research, type documents, design prints and send emails,” said Blue Ribbon manager, Craig Mashele. Learners participated in dancing competitions in which ‘Jabu’ the mascot gave the best dancers prizes. Mashele said the top five bread plastic collectors received hampers which included two loaves, a packet of sweets, biscuits, a pen, a ruler and Blue Ribbon shopper bags.
