LIMPOPO – AS part of a winter warmer initiative, Energy FM donated clothes to the Seshego Victim Support Centre (SVSC) on Thursday.

Energy FM station manager, Bothwel “BK” Matewe, said the initiative started on June 16 when they asked the community to donate old clothes.

“We also played a soccer match against taxi operators from Seshego on June 16.

“As a community radio station, we take care of the less fortunate. Seshego Victim Ssupport Centre is one of our beneficiaries, along with Reakgona Drop-in Centre, Age in Action, as well as the First Lady Trust, as a promise to the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa. We urge the community to donate whatever they have to the less fortunate,” said Matewe.

Karabo Segolela, Seshego Victim Support Centre project manager, thanked the Energy FM management for their social responsibility.

“We appreciate the recognition from Energy FM. We cater to more than 35 victims per month and the victims we assist will see that there are people who care for them,” said Segolela.

She said the Seshego Victim Support Centre protected the victims’ dignity and rights and the victims were also empowered.
