Ross to lead 100 Rotary Club as their new president

POLOKWANE – The Pietersburg 100 Rotary Club held its annual induction dinner at the Pietersburg Club on Friday, where the outgoing president, Tinus Jacobsz made way for the incoming president, Keith Ross.

Asked what his vision was for the club, he said he wanted to lure more members and to help create more awareness for their ongoing charity projects, as well as other fundraising projects for charity.

“I am originally from Louis Trichardt and moved to Polokwane in 2006. I became a Rotary member in 1979 and I was the president of the Rotary Club in Louis Trichardt for the 1986/1987 year.

“I joined the Pietersburg 100 Club a year after I moved to Polokwane. The difference for me being president then and being president now is that the Rotary clubs have become far more of a corporate entity than they were back then,” he said.

The 77-year-old is still very active and says he farms with macadamia nuts and also rents out storage space, and that retirement is the furthest thing from his mind.
